Kingston, Jamaica – 6 March 2025 — The Secretary-General of the International Seabed Authority (the Authority), Ms. Leticia Carvalho, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Bruno Pozzi from Belgium as Chef de Cabinet of the Authority.

A seasoned diplomat with over 25 years of experience in international relations, diplomacy and policy, Mr. Pozzi has held key roles across three continents, focusing on political, environmental and economic affairs.

Mr. Pozzi will oversee strategic policy and planning, capacity-building, communications and resource mobilization. His responsibilities will also include institutional development, inter-agency and intergovernmental coordination and staff development, along with deputy functions as needed.

Currently, Mr. Pozzi serves as Deputy Director of the Ecosystems Division at the United Nations Environment Programme.

Mr. Pozzi will assume his new role on 22 April 2025.
