The Secretariat of the International Seabed Authority (ISA) is seeking the services of a consultant with requisite experience and expertise in mining cadastre and strong skills in software database development and project management.
The selected consultant will be expected to develop a project framework for the development of a Seabed Mining Register. The Register shall function as an online data base and a fundamental legal tool used for the management of mineral resource contracts. It will contain public information for general access, as well as confidential information accessible only to selected users in light of the rights and obligations recognised to them, including contractors and sponsoring States.
Applicants should have a master’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience working with database development and management of complex projects. Familiarity with the work of ISA is also required.
