JAMAICA, Kingston (7 November 2017) – – Her Excellency Mrs Inés Fors Fernández, today presented her credentials to Secretary-General, Michael Lodge, as the new Permanent Representative of the Republic of Cuba to the International Seabed Authority.
Ambassador Fors Fernández is also Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Jamaica.
Prior to joining the posting to Jamaica, Ambassador Fors Fernández was Deputy Chief of the Bilateral Affairs Division of the United States of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
She has also served as Ambassador to the Republic of The Gambia between 2009-2013, First Secretary in the Cuban Interests Section in the United States between 2002-2007 and was Official in charge of the Association of Caribbean States in the Division of Latin America and the Caribbean of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ambassador Fors Fernández has a Master’s degree in International Finance from the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
