The International Seabed Authority (ISA) is launching two art competitions that aim to celebrate the deep sea, marine science and deep-sea exploration.
The competitions on the theme “deep-sea exploration” are open until 16 May 2022 and the winners will be announced on World Oceans Day, on 8 June 2022, during a special event held in Kingston, Jamaica.
For its local art competition, ISA is inviting all students under age 16 and registered in an elementary school in Jamaica to submit drawings or paintings.
For its international art competition, ISA is calling for participants worldwide from age 16 up to submit drawings, paintings or digital designs.
The winning artists will be awarded a prize and their artworks will be used to develop ISA’s 2022 greetings card and calendar.
Final designs should be submitted via email to wod@isa.org.jm by 16 May 2022 using the subject: “WOD Local Art Competition” or “WOD International Art Competition”. Within the body of the email, please provide your contact details, including full name, age, school (local competition), and country as well as a short description of the artwork.
