The ISA today launched its free mobile application for mobile devices using iOS and Android platforms. Android users can download the App from Google Play and iOS users can download the App from iTunes.
Given the specific nature of ISA’s work in seabed mining, technology and environmental protection, the App will enable the Authority to promote its mandate and activities to member States and its various Organs via an enhanced communication strategy.
As part of its outreach efforts, ISA also launched its new publications strategy in 2013 utilizing a combination of print-on-demand and electronics publishing technology thereby reducing printing and shipping costs whilst continuing to provide free distribution of printed materials to members States at a much lower cost.
