The Secretariat of the International Seabed Authority (ISA) shared on Thursday 14 October with all its Members and Observers the indicative programme of work and the information note on matters for consideration by the ISA Assembly during the in-person meetings of the 26th session scheduled on 13-15 December 2021.
Under the presidency of Ambassador Denys Wibaux, Permanent Representative of France to ISA, the Assembly will meet in-person in a reduced format to conclude the work on the agenda of the Assembly for the twenty-sixth session. It is recalled that the Assembly has managed to adopt decisions on matters of procedural nature and on time-sensitive matters under the silence procedure since September 2020. The December meetings will provide an opportunity for the Assembly to complete other pending agenda items.
An information note on the preliminary modalities for in-person meetings of both the ISA Council and the ISA Assembly was circulated on 4 October.
The agenda, the indicative programme of work, the information note and all official documents prepared for the upcoming meetings have been placed on the ISA website.
