Conference Room Papers CRP1 and CRP2 have been prepared by the Secretariat to facilitate the forthcoming election of one-half of the members of the Council for the period 2015 to 2018.
In accordance with the Convention and the decisions of the Assembly, the terms of office of 17 of the members of the Council will end on 31 December 2014. The vacancies in each of the 5 groups in the Council are as follows.
1. Group A (4 members) – 2 vacancies
2. Group B (4 members) – 3 vacancies
3. Group C (4 Members) – 2 vacancies
4. Group D (6 Members) – 3 vacancies
5. Group E (18 Members) – 7 vacancies
