JAMAICA, Kingston (21 May 2015) – – On Wednesday, 20 May 2015, His Excellency, Mr. Masanori Nakano, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Jamaica, presented his credentials to the Secretary-General, as the Permanent Representative of Japan to the Authority.
Ambassador Nakano began his career in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs serving in various divisions, and on several bureaus in the Ministry. In September 2008 he was appointed Director, Foreign Affairs Division, International Affairs Department, House of Representatives.
He has also enjoyed overseas postings in India, Sri Lanka, the United States and Egypt.
Ambassador Nakano arrived in Jamaica in April this year to take up his responsibilities as Ambassador of Japan to Jamaica, and non-resident Ambassador to Belize and the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.
