On the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the International Seabed Authority (ISA) is pleased to showcase women’s accomplishments in the field of deep-sea research.
Between 2010 and 2020, 420 individuals benefited from ISA capacity-building programmes and initiatives. 180 were women. As part of its efforts to raise awareness and inspire more women from developing States, ISA has invited several women scientists who have benefited from its programmes to share their stories.
