H.E. Mr. Eduardo Bonilla presented his credentials as the Permanent Representative of Chile to the Secretary-General of the Authority, Mr. Nii Allotey Odunton on Tuesday, 5th March 2013.
Ambassador Bonilla commenced his career in the Foreign Service in Chile in 1974. He held many positions within the Ministry, some of which were Chief of Cabinet General Economic Affairs Division, Deputy Director of Human Resources, Director of Consular Services and Director of Diaspora. His overseas assignments included postings in South America, Europe and the United States.
At the time of his appointment as Ambassador to Jamaica, Ambassador Bonilla was the Director of Consular Policy in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Chile, and in this capacity he was the President of the South American Conference on Migration.
Ambassador Bonilla is a graduate of the “Andres Bello” Diplomatic Academy.
