In continuance of the ongoing discussions and intersessional work of the Council of the International Seabed Authority on the topic of test mining. the Governments of Germany and Belgium would like to extend a formal invitation to all delegates and stakeholders to a technical workshop on the “Scientific and legal aspects of Test Mining”.

The workshop will take place from 16-17 December 2024 at Haus der Wissenschaft in Bremen, in northern Germany. Following an informal evening gathering on 15 December (Sunday), the workshop will commence at 9:00 on 16 December (Monday) and end by 15:30 on 17 December (Tuesday).

The workshop will be in-person, although some plenary presentations/discussions may be livestreamed or recorded.

The deadline for registration is 20 November 2024. If the number of registrations exceeds the available seats, the organizing team will select the participants to ensure a good representation of all regions and perspectives. A final confirmation of registration will be sent out by 25 November 2024. (Please note: do not book any travels prior to receipt of the final confirmation).
