The ISA Endowment Fund is calling for applications for two training fellowships for qualified scientists from developing countries.

The International Seabed Authority is calling for nominations for six short-term training opportunities in 2013-2014 for suitable candidates from developing States provided by two ISA Contractors.

The ISA Endowment Fund is inviting applications from suitable candidates interested in being sponsored to attend the 18th Session of the Rhodes Academy of the Oceans Law and Policy meetings held   June 30 – July 20, 2013 in Greece.

On 19 April 2013, Ocean Mineral Singapore Pte. Ltd., a company sponsored by the Government of Singapore, submitted an application for approval of a plan of work for exploration for polymetallic nodules in a reserved area.

On 26 March 2013, the International Seabed Authority received an application for approval of a plan of work for exploration for polymetallic sulphides submitted by the Government of India.

The Secretariat of the International Seabed Authority has received a proposal from Nautilus Minerals Inc., (‘Nautilus’) a company incorporated in Canada, to enter into negotiations to form a joint venture with the Enterprise for the purpose of developing eight of the reserved area blocks in the Clarion Clipperton Zone (CCZ).

H.E. Mr. Akramul Qader, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, presented his credentials as the Permanent Representative of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Secretary-General of the Authority on 3 April 2013.
