The International Seabed Authority and MARAWA RESEARCH EXPLORATION LTD have signed a 15-year contract for exploration for polymetallic nodules, in the presence of Mr. Baraniko Baaro, First Secretary and Officer In Charge in the Mission of Kiribati to the United Nations.
A new Advisory Panel for the Endowment Fund was appointed

The International Seabed Authority is calling for applications for the training programme to be provided by China Ocean Mineral Resources Research and Development Association (COMRA) in 2015 pursuant to the contract for exploration for polymetallic sulphides between the International Seabed Authority and COMRA.
