ISA Fact-check 2023/2 – Radioactivity of nodules

Currently, there are no plans for ISA to discuss safety regulations for workers around Deep Sea Mining. However, the amount of radon gas in the vesicles of nodules is minimal, especially as radon get dissolved in seawater under the kind of pressures found in the deep sea.
