ISA and Ifremer announce deep-sea taxonomy postdoctoral fellow 2022-2024
The Secretariat of the International Seabed Authority (ISA), the Republic of France and the Institut français de recherche pour l’exploitation de la mer (Ifremer, France) announced on 27 May 2022 the selection of Dr. Ranju Radhakrishnan from India as postdoctoral fellow in deep-sea taxonomy.
ISA-China Joint Training and Research Centre successfully closes its first training workshop
The International Seabed Authority – China Joint Training and Research Center (ISA-China JTRC) successfully closed its first training workshop, which focused on survey and assessment of mineral resources, characteristics of deep-sea ecosystems and environmental management, and the global repository of data from exploration activities in the Area.
ISA announces second edition of Marine Scientific Research Information Webinar Series for Africa with a focus on data management to be hosted on 21 June
The International Seabed Authority (ISA) is hosting the second edition of its Marine Scientific Research Information Webinar Series for Africa on 21 June 2022. The webinar will present ISA’s data management strategy, data analytics and their use for marine scientific research in the Area and ISA’s DeepData database. It will also identify ISA’s African Members’ priorities, challenges and future areas of collaboration for facilitating access to and sharing data on the marine environment in the Area, as well as for advancing the development of DeepData.
