ISA – China Joint Training and Research Centre launched its second training workshop on Marine Science and Technology in Qingdao

On 17 October 2023, the International Seabed Authority (ISA) – China Joint Training and Research Centre (ISA-China JTRC) launched its second training workshop on marine science and technology organized with the support of the Ministry of Natural Resources of China, the China Oceanic Development Foundation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and the Qingdao municipal government.

On 11 October 2023, the Legal and Technical Commission of the International Seabed Authority (ISA) confirmed the selection of three (3) candidates from developing States to benefit from training opportunities provided by Marawa Research and Exploration Ltd. (Marawa) in accordance with its obligations under its exploration contract for polymetallic nodules with ISA.

Applications are now open for one (1) geological studies internship for a candidate from a developing State, Member of the International Seabed Authority (ISA).  The placement is provided by Ifremer (French Research Institute for Exploitation of the Sea), in accordance with its obligations under its contracts for exploration for polymetallic sulphides (PMS) with ISA.
