The Secretariat of the International Seabed Authority (ISA) is accepting proposals for consultancy services in Risk Management, particularly aimed toward work process review and improvements to assist ISA in fulfilling its mandate under the United Nations of the Law of the Sea and in line with ISA’s strategic framework. The successful bidder will review the current work processes and suggest improvements to optimize the ISA’s workflows, interdepartmental communication, and general process management.

The successful bidder shall facilitate a workshop with ISA staff in Kingston, Jamaica to map workflows and identify potential areas for improvement. The successful bidder will also be required to develop additional processes based on workshop discussions as well as a report highlighting further suggestions for continuous organizational improvement.

All bidders must demonstrate a successful record in Risk Management and Safety Management System Optimization related to energy operators and authorities in maturely regulated areas. The estimated timeframe for the project is 100 working hours for the selected consultant. This includes planning meetings to discuss scope and current status, a workshop in Kingston, and subsequent work to complete draft processes and provide a project report. The project will be finalized with an online meeting.

The selection of the consultant will be completed by end of August and the project kick-off is scheduled during the first week of November 2022, followed by a workshop in Kingston, Jamaica in mid-November.
